Two new titles have been released today, these are: European Railway: Spring 2012 (Issue 44) and European Railway: 'Loco-hauled 2011'.
Issue 44 features Switzerland where we look at the mainline south-east of Zurich as it runs along the banks of Lake Zurichsee: we also take a trip to the Appenzellerbahnen east of St.Gallen. We also travel to the Czech Republic as we have Part 2 of our journey featuring the busy lines that skirt the Elbe River. And finally, we head for Germany for the delightful combination of Steam, Snow and Sunshine as we ride the trains of the Harz Narrow gauge network. There is some stunning images taken by our camerman Richard Scott of a steam journey up to the Brocken (in full sun!). We've also scenes from on board the first coach of a railtour hauled by Maybach V200 033.
Loco-hauled 2011 - takes us to Germany, France and the Czech Republic. We have a mixture of modern and endangered locomotive types, such as French BB8500, BB9300, BB17000, BB25500, BB67400 and CC72100; German 110, 111, 112, 143, 145, 182 and 218; and Czech 111, 163, 350, 371 and 753 all featured in the programme. We also have on board scenes, especially noisy where the DB class 218s are concerned!
Details of the above two programmes plus other recent releases can be found at the bottom of this page.

We're back from our recent trip to Texas and New Mexico with superb footage which will go into future editions of 'American Railway'. For the first time we used two camera crews at most locations, this will give viewers the ability to see the same train from different angles and at alternative viewpoints, leading to a very much more comprehensive television viewing experience. American Railway no: 11 is due for release in around five weeks time with the first of our Texas and New Mexico programmes following thereafter. As usual, email tippers and letters will be sent out to customers prior to the programme's release, or information will be posted here.
And finally, we met many, many people over in Texas and New Mexico all of whom were fantastic folks, so friendly and eagre to pass on valuable information to aid us in our travels. Please accept our sincere thanks to everyone that we met, it was a pleasure to meet with you!
6th February 2012

Fantastic! - is the word I will use to describe the Dampfspektakel 2010 steam event in Germany held between 2 and 6 April around Trier and Gerolstein, marking 175 years of German Railways. The results of 40 months planning by the German authorities really paid off with some excellent steam-hauled passenger and freight trains in action. We have now just released 'Dampfspektakel 2010' a programme (yes, just 6 days after it all finished!!!) featuring the steam highlights from the event: please see our latest releases at the bottom of this page for further details. For every programme that is sold a contribution of £2.39 will be made to the organisers of the Plandampf events in Germany to help secure future steam photograhic events, with the next one scheduled for October this year. Please see the following link for details: Plandampf - UK Website.
As ever, check out the contents in detail at the links at the foot of this page.
We are also pleased to provide a link to this excellent US website advertising many other railway-related topics and other sites selling DVD programmes: Railserve Website.
