Description

The video magazine for the Continental enthusiast. Run-time 85 mins approx.

France: A visit is made to two suburban main lines on the outskirts of southern Paris. We feature outer-suburban electric units working RER services as well as mainline locomotives on passenger and freight.

Slovakia: We travel to east of Kosice to witness activity on the 1524mm-gauge Iron Ore line into the Ukraine as well as the parallel ZSR standard line. Classes 125.8, 163, 721, 752, & 183 all feature.

Ukraine: The country's narrow-gauge lines are quite simply from an era where time has stood still. We visit one such example to the north of Vinogrodov where TU-2 diesels and 1950s rolling stock rule the day, creating a sight difficult to comprehend - an amazing selection of video material!

Germany: The Rhein main lines at Remagen and Koblenz are visited in this feature of current DB freight and passenger activity. Class 'Euro 66', 101, 120, 140, 143, 146, 151, 152, 155, & 185 are included.

Switzerland: Part 2 of our journey along the Rhätische Bahn. This time we continue from Filisur up the gradients to Preda and then down to Pontresina on the Bernina Bahn. We continue over the Bernina Pass and witness street running at Le Prese and onwards to the amazing circular viaduct at Brusio.

Holland: Three Lineside locations are chosen to the north and east of the country as a variety of trains and traction go about their daily business.

France: We study freight and passenger activity around the large marshalling yard at Grande Synthe, using material filmed in 1993, 2003, 2004 and 2005, including a tribute to the BB16500 electrics.
