WCML Crewe engineering blockades - Part 1, June 1985. Regular electric activity with class 81, 85, 86 & 87 interspersed with diesels from classes 25, 33, 40, 45 & 47; DMUs class 108, 120 & yellow/blue HSTs all appearing. The film includes a class 40 on an engineers train, a class 25, a class 45 on clay and a host of early electrics.


Class 20s in Cornwall - one of their first visits is captured on film of the Chipman weedkilling train on the Gunnislake and Looe branches. Film of the train headed by 20901 and 20904 at Bere Alson, Tamar Bridge, Liskeard, Coombe, Looe Branch, and in Devon at Hemerdon, Totnes and on the Dart Valley Railway at Buckfastleigh.


Ashchurch in 1991 - Class 37s and 47s dominate as we witness Speedlink, steel, fertiliser and Oil workings, as well as a class 156 and class 47 on passenger workings in the early days of trainload freight and the passenger sectors.


Bedford in 1987 - HST with the classic Valenta engines, a 121 ‘bubble car’, a class 45, blue class 31 & 47 on parcels as traffic as well as blue/grey class 317s all feature in this blast from the past.


WCML blockade - part 2: more action including a class 33 at Basford Hall, a class 25 on a rake of MDV coal wagons, class 40, another Class 25 on BOC tanks, as well as all-blue 47s and early electrics!!!
