GERMANY - the re-introduction of Class 218 diesels south of Hof has lead to added interest on a regional line in northern Bayern. We visited in September 2024 to check out the action, with classes 159, 203, 204, 218, 232, 248, 612, 648 and 750 all appearing on what is a classic non-electrified country line.

BELGIUM - a look at the busy freight route linking into and out of the docks just to the north of the City. Our September 2024 visits features some really interesting traction, especially four Class 62s running light. This line sees plenty of loco-hauled action as well as a regular amount of freight traffic as well as electric units working stopping services. Class 1016, 1142, 1144, 193, 182, 187 and, 1116 locos all appear.
