(HD Blu-Ray) European Railway: Issue 61 (May-June 2015)

Run-time 1hr and 40mins approx. Issue 61 features:
SWITZERLAND - the first of a two-part feature looking at traction on lines to the south-east of Basel. This part looks at the route towards Zürich between Effingen and Frick. Express passenger, double-deck local trains, intermodal and block freight trains are all witnessed with classes DB185, Re6/6, Re 4/4 , 511, 521, & 500 all seen.
CZECH REPUBLIC - a study of electric traction on the cross-country route between Kolin and Brno. Classes 362, 363, 230, 240 dominate the passenger and freight traffic to be seen.
AUSTRIA - we call in on the private GKB network at Lieboch to the south-east of Graz. Modern DMUs and an ex-DB class 211 loco on freight feature.
NETHERLANDS - traction on the line between Venlo and Eindhoven, filmed in 2013 and 2014. Classes 189, 1600, 1700, 66, DDAR, & ICM Koplopers all appear. Freight and passenger traffic are seen during our visits.
POLAND - coal traffic is filmed around the southern town of Rybnik with classic traction in the form of ET22, T448P, S200 and 640 in action, while a class EN57 is seen on a local passenger working.
SWITZERLAND - a look at typical motive power and traffic over the Gotthard mainline before the tunnel opens. DB185, Re 6/6, Re 4/4 and 460 dominate as we call in at Göschenen during the evening’s activity.
GERMANY - a late afternoon at Köln’s Gremberg Yard with Belgian class 28 and classes 115, 120, 140, 145, 152, 155, 182, 185, 189, 261 & 296 all making an appearance. Filmed in September 2014 this updates a previous visit made in 2009.
