FRANCE - a look at the BB26000 locomotives at work on passenger services on the Paris to Clermont-Ferrand line in September 2018.

GERMANY - the first of a two-part feature on the main line that runs between Würzburg and Ansbach. This is a major freight artery linking central Europe with the northern German cities of Hannover, Bremen and Hamburg: the line also sees local passenger operations as well as Intercity and Eurocity services. Classes 101, 140, 145, 152, 182, 185, 186, 187, 193, 201, 425, 440 and 642 all appear.

SLOVAKIA - a fascinating look at the rural line north of Zvolen to Vrútky. Loco-hauled passenger, diesel units and freight services are included in this overview of traffic types to be seen. Classes 813, 861, 736, 751, 754 and 756 make up the traction seen. Filmed in June 2018.

HUNGARY - there’s still a good amount of older traction at work in the country which is revealed in our look at the mainline between Budapest and Miskolc. We see Class 431’s - dating from the mid-1960s - at work on intercity and local passenger workings as well as freight. In addition classes 630, 187 and 1116 also appear. One highlight is the black dust-storm generated by a passing empty coal train!

SWITZERLAND - The Matterhorn Götthard Bahn is featured in our look at services between Andermatt and Realp: we also look at steam services on the Furka Pass route in 2014 and 2018.
