GERMANY - we begin with a look at passenger and freight traffic passing the western end of the Seelze Freight Yard in Hannover. Classes 146, 151, 152, 193, 294, 189, 101 and Ice all make an appearance. In addition we also call in to the station at Nordhausen close to the Harz Mountains. Class 642, 442 units on passenger and 145, 152 and ex-DR 345 appear in action.
SLOVENIA - a study of trains and traffic on the main line south of Pragersko and on to Celje, part of the route to Ljubljana. Gently rolling hills offer a great backdrop to some of the scenes which feature, Classes 312,510, 310 and 813 units with class 342, 363, 541 and 1293 also seen.
NETHERLANDS - a look at the trains to be seen along the Betuwe freight route that links Rotterdam with Germany. With up to four freights each hour it is a busy line. Class 193s are the dominant motive power but we also see, 186, 2019, 189 and 202. Containers, fuel, iron ore and biomass are seen along this dedicated freight line.
FRANCE - we travel to southern France as we sample traffic to the south of Avignon, Classes BB27000, BB37000, BB26000, BB22200, BB66400 and class 66 are seen in action as well as variety of electric units.
AUSTRIA - the station at Wels is visited on the busy Westbahn mainline. Fright is busy here as well as a good number of passenger services. A wide variety of motive power can be seen here, typified by Classes 1116, 1216, 193, 1293, DB411, 4024, 5022, 186, 2016 and 1144 which we see in action.
