GERMANY - a visit to central Germany as we look at trains on the Fulda to Bebra classic mainline - this busy passenger and freight main line is one of the busiest cross-country routes. In our first section we travel from Neukirchen to Oberhaun situated south of Bad Hersfeld. ICEs, 101, 146 and electric units are seen on passenger duties with Classes 111, 146, 152, 185, 187, 189, 193 and 247 are seen working freight and other workings.
SLOVENIA - with the opening of a new line to the Port of Koper later this year, we visited the area in 2024 to look at the old line around Kozina and Rodik. Classes 510, 713, 363, 541, 193 and 1216 all appear. SWITZERLAND - we continue with our look at the Brugg to Basel line calling in to a pair of locations at Stein and Möhlin. A busy freight and passenger line this route sees a constant stream of trains. Classes 185, 232, 843, 193, 474, 484, 460, 560, 511, 512, 523, 620, 420 and 430 are all witnessed in action.
NETHERLANDS - we drop in to see mainline action at Oisterwijk near Tilburg. Local and intercity passenger services are seen as well as freight traffic.
FRANCE - a detailed look at traffic on the busy mainline south of Dijon on the route down to Lyon. A whole host of traction is seen from TGV to short infrastructure workings, with loco-operated passenger and freight trains seen.
GERMANY - we return to Germany to close our look at trains on the Fulda to Bebra line.
