SWITZERLAND - Locomotive hauled trains from a busy mainline to the west of Olten. Non-stop freight and passenger train action is witnessed in our profile of the line between Oensingen and Egerkingen, classes 923, 523, 465, 460, Re4/4¹¹ and Re6/6 all appear at this rail enthusiast hot-spot. Filmed in June 2014.

AUSTRIA - a look at local train services to the west of Wien (Vienna) in September 2014. Classes 1144 and 1142 dominate as well as 4020, 4024, 2016 and 1116 on a variety of duties.

GERMANY - passenger and freight train action from the west of Mannheim in May and June 2014. We focus on services around Neustadt(Weinstr.), south to Landau, Pirmasens and the line down from Kaiserslautern. A whole host of different trains are seen from TGV to Intercity, regional passenger and a variety of freight services. Classes 101, 111, 185, 186, 189, 425, 626, 642, 332, 218, 294, SNCF TGV, BB37000 and X73900 are all witnessed in action.

FRANCE - the CC72100 diesels are in the twilight of their years, we look at the class operating passenger trains between Culmont-Chalindrey and Belfort in the summer of 2014. We also see original CC72084 at work through the rolling French countryside.

CZECH REPUBLIC - as part of the 175th Anniversary of Czechoslovakian Railways a major steam and diesel event took place around Břeclav in the south of the country, on 27th September 2014. Steam locos in the shape of classes 475, 477, 423, 534, 556, 304, OBB 78, 310 and 109 all appear, as well as preserved diesels including two M62s in superb condition on freight & a very loud pair of class 752s on a passenger working!
