This edition of American Railroad visits two locations: the first to the West of and in the City of St. Louis and the next the Class 3 Regional Railroad - the Arkansas and Missouri, famed for its continued use of heritage ALCO diesel locomotives.

We begin the programme from Pacific, MO which lies on the Union Pacific and the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroads. Coal, manifests and Amtrak trains are seen through here.

Next we head east to Kirkwood, MO. An UP long manifest with head-end and DPU power travels west, a single-loco powered Stack struggles east up the grade on wet rails and finally an empty coal heads west.
The Grand Metro station area is next where, UP, BNSF, CN, & Amtrak power is caught on a variety of workings, as well as Metro light-rail train-sets on there way to and from the City.

It’s the old industrial area near to the Mississippi River next where BNSF coal and a TRRA track inspection train are both seen, before we head to the MacArthur Rail bridge where a loaded coal train powers east and the Amtrak Texas Eagle is seen heading west behind a P42DC.

The Arkansas and Missouri Railroad is visited as we look at operations to the north of Springdale and towards Rogers. SD70ACe, and ALCO, C420 and C426 are seen on local trip freights at various locations, where we also witness switching operations taking place.

Finally we head to Tipton Ford where a KCS grain train passes our camera heading to Kansas City.
