SWITZERLAND - we travel to the busy northern line linking Aarau with Zürich, where we visit two locations - one at Othmarsingen and the other at Lenzburg. Both spots have near constant freight or passenger action and are popular stopping off points. Filmed in late 2022 it covers all of the main traction types that can be seen today. Classes 193, 474, 420, 620, 460, 526, 511, ICE, TGV, 501, 523, 500, 484, 843, 560 and 502 are all witnessed.

SLOVAKIA - a look at traction at two stations in Bratislava. First we visit the main station before venturing to another situated in the suburbs. Classes 362, 2016, 263, 712, 186, 193, 754, 350, 840, 761, 671, 240, 242, 210, 361 and 380 all appear. The main station is exceptionally busy with almost constant train movements making it a must-visit location for any railway observer.

FRANCE - continuing our journey down the Rhône River Valley we see passenger and freight services with Classes E4000, BB67200, BB7200, BB22200, BB26000, BB27000, BB37000, B81500, z23400, z24500, x 72500, ECR 66 and 186 all seen at a variety of locations (see cover).

GERMANY - a quick visit is made to Cologne and Koblenz to view passenger and freight operations. Classes 101, 460, 111, 198, 193, ICE, 482, ECR77, and 187 appear. Views from next to the spectacular Rhine River bridge feature.

SPAIN - mainline action from the north-east and south of Madrid. Filmed in September 2023 we see passenger and freight operations featuring class 120, 253, 335, 449, 269 and 333. Some lovely scenery, vineyards and flamingos!
