GERMANY - the fourth and final part of our mini series looking at traffic on the main trunk route to the south-west of Hanover and onwards to the Rhur Valley. In this section we study trains at the junction at Wunstorf. Classes 101, 111, 155, 143, 146, 185, 189, 182 and 386 all appear, including the Orient Express luxury train.

PORTUGAL - Richard Scott continues his Interrail travels with a look at loco-hauled action from around Porton and the Douro Valley. Classes 1400, 5600 and 4700 all make appearance.

ITALY - mainline steam action from northern Italy on the mountain line linking Treviso with Belluno. Modern diesel action is seen on the chase of 2-6-0 passenger locomotive number 685 196. Moving west we go in hunt of 625 100 on a run from Como to Tirano, with scenes near Como, Lecco and St. Agata.

FRANCE - we go lineside on the mainline route to the north-east of Narbonne in the south of the country. TGV, AVE, local Z27500 units, BB7200, BB22200, BB26000 and class 186s all feature on a mixture of freight and passenger work.

SWITZERLAND - the second and concluding part in a feature looking at the northern Gotthard route between Hendschiken and Rotkreuz. This busy cross-country route plays host to modern electric multiple units as well as loco-hauled freight trains. Covering the section south of Muri we witness classes Abde 576, 511, 521, 523, 560, 185, 186, 193, 620, 420, 474 and 503 at work.
