A study of unusual motive power workings in Cornwall during 2011 and 2012. It also includes examples of current-day operations.

It will be a big surprise to see the variety of locomotives and train types contained within this programme, captured on a number of workings along the mainline & each of the operational branch lines.

The programme looks at the more unusual as well as the everyday operations within the County. The DVD begins at Penzance where the VSOE is seen with a pair of 67s, 66130 leaves Long Rock on the weekly fuel train, the RHTT is seen at St.Erth & we capture the unusual sight of a class 37 at St.Ives in the dead of night. Back along the mainline we have superb views from on top of Carn Brea Hill of an HST in action. Voyagers at Redruth & Chacewater are followed by scenes of engineering & Network Rail test trains on the Falmouth branch with class 66s & 37s. We look at the motive power through Truro, with class 31, 37, 43, 47, 57, 66 & 67 on a variety of workings.

Steam is seen along the Tresillian Valley with 34067 & 70013 heading for Penzance, also captured are Freightliner 66s & 37409 plus 37229 on railtour duties. We visit the Newquay branch with 37604 storming over Gosmoor, as well as 70000 Britannia departing Newquay. Back on the mainline we see class 20s on passenger, DB & Freightliner class 66s at Burngullow, plus HST & diesel units as we continue to St.Austell. Next we travel from Par to Liskeard with scenes of 47375 & 56302 on Clay tanks, 66623 on the Burngullow stone & 66053 on China clay around Lostwithiel. 66126 is seen on CDAs at Golant as we move to the Bodmin & Wenford Railway to view 7812 Erlestoke Manor in action. We head to the Fowey Valley to view 34067 Tangemere slipping on wet rails, before we travel to Looe to capture GWR Railmotor no 93 in action.

Finally, we see the Moorswater Cement with 66546, plus much, much more.
