This Double-Disk programme is a follow-up to our 2016 DVD which looks at one of the most popular rail routes in Germany - The Rhein Gorge. Filmed in 2022 the DVD features a whole host of modern traction types, together with classic Rhein gorge scenery. We again cover both sides of the river between Koblenz in the north and the Bingen area in the south. We begin on the West Bank line at Trechtingshausen before moving north to finish the first day at Oberwesel. It is then the East Bank line which is covered next - the tracks that see the majority of freight services. Classes 101, 145, 151, 152, 182, 185, 186, 187, 192, 193, 232, 286, 401, 411, 415, 427, 428, 429, 430, 460, 475 and 482 - on workings that are frequently identified throughout the programme. Our journey continues down the east bank line where we call in at Oberspai, Kestert, Lorch, Lorchhausen, Kaub, Aßmannhausen and Rüdesheim. We conclude the programme with scenes at Loreley Hirzenach, Oberwesel and Bacharach as well as other locations along the river.
